Course Aims To provide persons charged with the responsibilities of Fire Risk Assessment, Safe Evacuation and Fire containment with the essential knowledge and skills to execute their responsibilities in a safe manner.
Course Outcome Delegates will acquire the underpinning knowledge to complete a Fire Risk assessment, provide assistance and guidance to others concerning the risk of fire, fire prevention, organise safe evacuation procedures and understand the safe limits of combating a fire.
Special Notes There will be some practical work with fire extinguishers.

5: Using Fire Extinguishers
  • Colour Coding of Extinguishers.
  • Location and Operation Instructions.
6: Fire Risk Assessment
  • Identify fire hazards.
  • Identify the location of people at risk.
  • Evaluate the risks.
  • Record findings and action taken.
  • Keep assessment under review.
